Holland America Line has sailed from Fort Lauderdale for decades, and its Port Everglades home is Terminal 21 in the Midport section. HAL passengers are a distinctive group: longer itineraries, more luggage, more Collectors' Voyages and Grand Voyages that begin with a flight the day before. That profile shapes how we run this transfer. Terminal 21 drops are unhurried and precise - a confirmed pickup, a chauffeur who loads garment bags and medical equipment without being asked, and an arrival timed so you are through check-in before the midday push.
The terminal is reached through the main Eller Drive entrance, about two and a half miles from FLL arrivals - under ten minutes even with port security. Many Holland America guests overnight at the 17th Street corridor hotels first; from there the ride is five to ten minutes and we schedule it for late morning, since HAL boarding at Terminal 21 typically opens around 11:00 AM. Guests connecting from MIA (about 27 miles) or Palm Beach (about 47 miles) get the same fixed-fare treatment with flight tracking, at from $89 and from $129 respectively.
Where this service really matters is the far end of the cruise. Twenty-one-day Panama Canal and Caribbean itineraries end with a mountain of luggage and often a same-day flight home. We monitor the ship's arrival and customs clearance, stage the car for your chosen debarkation slot, and build in a realistic buffer for FLL or MIA departures. If your flight leaves after noon, there is time for breakfast on Las Olas first - your driver will suggest it.
